Weicon Tools Cable Stripper No. S 4-28 Spiral
Cable strippers are used for the precise, fast and safe removal of insulation from round cables. The product family of the Weicon Tools cable strippers includes various types, each with different additional features to meet individual application requirements.
For cables that cannot simply be stripped using round and longitudinal cuts, a newly developed tool can also be used to make a spiral cut and easily remove complex insulation – the Cable Stripper No. S 4-28 Spiral.
The blade features a support bracket made of glass fibre-reinforced polyamide and is suitable for all standard round cables with a diameter of 4-28 mm. The rotatable inner blade can be used for round, longitudinal and spiral cuts on both soft and hard cable insulation. The cutting depth can be precisely adjusted in 0.1 mm increments from 0-3 millimetres using a lockable adjusting screw.
Spiral cut
To perform a spiral cut, an adjusting wheel is used to switch from a round to a spiral cut. Then, by flipping the spiral switch, the internal blade is locked in place, and the cable stripper is ready to make the spiral cut. To return to circular cutting, the lock must be released using the spiral switch.
The blade then moves freely again, allowing you to perform the round cut as usual. After the spiral cut, the insulation should be cut briefly at the end to make it easier to peel off.
Safety
The tool is equipped with a small retractable hook blade that is operated via a slider. The self-retracting safety blade automatically retracts in the event of misuse to prevent cutting injuries. This makes the use of the blade much safer compared to fixed blades, such as those in cutter knives.
Made in Germany
The tool is developed and manufactured entirely in Germany. The production is based in Ascheberg, Westphalia, and the steel for the blades comes from Solingen. The cable stripper is tested to comply with all workplace safety standards. It is 145 mm long, weighs 80 grammes and is delivered in recyclable cardboard packaging.
